Campaign Message

Fernley is a community that values hard work, strong families, and responsible leadership. As a long-time resident and educator, I have dedicated my career to serving our community and helping young people succeed. I believe the same commitment to service is needed at City Hall.

If elected, I will focus on responsible growth, supporting public safety, maintaining strong infrastructure, and ensuring that Fernley continues to be a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I believe in listening to residents, making thoughtful decisions, and representing the values of Ward 3 with integrity and transparency.

Fernley’s future is bright, and I would be honored to help guide our community forward. I look forward to meeting with residents, hearing your ideas, and earning your support.

Campaign Pillars

  1. Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness: Supporting the police, fire, and emergency services that keep Fernley safe, while continuing to strengthen coordination between community agencies and first responders.
  2. Responsible Leadership and Smart Growth: Ensuring Fernley grows in a way that protects our quality of life, maintains infrastructure, and reflects the needs and values of residents.
  3. Community Collaboration and Respectful Governance: Bringing people together, encouraging thoughtful debate, and making decisions based on what is best for the community—not politics or personal agendas.
  4. Title 16 Overreach:  I strongly oppose the proposed Title 16 Nuisance Ordinance amendments because they expand government authority beyond legitimate public health and safety concerns and move Fernley toward HOA-style regulation of private property. These changes would impose subjective standards that disproportionately burden working families, seniors, and residents with limited financial or physical resources while creating opportunities for inconsistent and complaint-driven enforcement. I urge the City Council to reject these amendments and instead focus on protecting rights, addressing genuine hazards, and preserving the independence and self-reliance that define our community.
  5. Data Center Concerns: While I support responsible economic development, I am concerned that proposed data centers could place unsustainable demands on our region’s limited water resources, electrical grid, and desert environment. These facilities often provide relatively few long-term jobs while requiring significant infrastructure, potentially impacting property values, increasing noise, and reducing the quality of life for nearby residents. I urge local leaders to require comprehensive independent impact studies and ensure any approvals include strict protections for water conservation, grid reliability, and adequate separation from residential communities.
